Why I want to have Kids

I was reading my sister's blog today and her entry cracked me up. I've been laughing all day just thinking about it. She had written some funny things that my nephews said recently. The truth is I love kids, but my nephews make me want to become a mom even more! I know that kids are a lot of work, but I have to think that some of the original, comedy central comments they make must make up for all the hard work! Anyway, here are a few things that they said that had me laughing out loud all day.

___________Excerpts from my sister's entry_________________
The other day, while Seth and I were out, we made a stop in the toilet room. Seth (2 years old) says to me, "mom, why do you pee out of your butt!"

(Seth) "mom, I'm a big boy, huh?" (congratulating himself after climbing a difficult playground structure). (mom) "Seth, you are a big boy! You would even be a bigger boy if you peed in the toilet!" (Seth) "Sometime soon , mom"

(Jesh) "mom, what do you think if we filled that big trash can with water and put a goldfish in it? Do you think the goldfish would jump out because it's so smelly? " (today at the park....)

(Jesh) At Sunday school (the morning Aaron and I taught), we asked the kids who is the oldest person you know? Jesh responds with "hal-buh-gee and hal-mhu-nee"(which means granpa and grandma in Korean).

Seth asks me, "mom, do you want the Red Sox to win or the Buffalo Bills?" Jesh corrects his younger and less knowledgeable brother by saying, "Seth, the Red Sox is a baseball team and the Buffalo Bills is a football team!"

I don't recall how this conversation started but Jesh says to me as we're hanging out, "mom, I want to always live with you and daddy even when I am a teenager! And for the next 5 minutes he continued to make his point. It's funny to hear this from a four year old. I remember having similar thoughts and expressing them to my parents when I was older, maybe 8 or 10. It's natural to have this sort of dialogue with your child but it surprised me to have one with my 4 year old. (Of course, my four year old is quite a thinker). I told Jeshua that he could live with me as long as he wants! I warned him though, when mommy and daddy were college age that we went away from our parents to go to college. He told me he would go to college but he would come home and live with us right after he finished. I'm sure in some future time, when I am older and grayer, I will almost want to hold Jeshua to his word....or maybe not...who knows...but isn't it sweet.

They are just too sweet!! :)
